Active Award Programs funded via ARRA
- The NIH announced an opportunity to apply for administrative supplements for the purpose of consolidating multiple cores into a single more effective core; see NOT RR-10-001. Examples they consider appropriate include but not are exclusive to: a) moving equipment acquired by a single investigator and used by a small cadre of researchers into a core facility accessible to more researchers; b) merging core facilities at different institutions into a single facility that serves the needs of both institutions; and c) cosolidating cores in two different technologies into a larger single facility accessible to more researchers.
Supplements can request no more than $500,000 in equipment, no more than $500,00 for alteration and renovation and no more than $200,000 for other costs such as personnel and supplies (direct costs). A supplement request can include all three types listed above.
Applications must be received by the NIH no later than January 13, 2010. Please see the NIH announcement for more program details and application instructions. This is NOT a limited submission program. The supplements are funded by the ARRA and ARRA reporting requirements will apply.
