The Research Compliance Services (RCS) team has been busy updating human subject research applications and forms. These updates are expected to help facilitate the Institutional Review Board (IRB) review process. In addition, RCS is creating new guidance materials aimed at helping our researchers navigate the submission and review processes. The updates are in progress and are part of an ongoing effort. Be sure to visit our website for the most current versions and up-to-date information when preparing submissions to RCS for IRB review.
In conjunction with the revised applications, forms, and guidance materials, RCS is updating its website! Expect the new look to be launched in the next couple of months. We hope our researchers will find the new website to be improved and more user friendly. The site will feature additional content areas, improved navigation and other updates. Check back soon!
And finally, RCS is very proud to announce that two more team members have recently passed their Certified IRB Professional (CIP) examinations with flying colors! CIP credentialing, overseen by the international organization Public Responsibility in Medicine and Research (PRIM&R), helps promote ethical research practices and programs by ensuring individuals working with IRBs are professionals who display advanced-level knowledge, understanding and experience in the area of human research protection.
Research Compliance Administrators Carolyn Craig and Kalindi Allen have both shown mastery in the body of knowledge determined to be essential by national experts in the areas of human research protections and IRB administrative practices. Congratulations, Carolyn and Kalindi!
