Applications open for new Early Career Faculty Travel Grant program

The Office of the Vice President for Research and Innovation (OVPRI) invites faculty from all academic disciplines to apply for the new Early Career Faculty Travel Grant program.

The overall goal of this program is to support early career faculty development and increase the competitiveness of their research proposals through successful interaction and relationship building with major federal sponsors. Faculty selected for this program will form a cohort of UO researchers who will travel to Washington, D.C., to meet with program officers at federal funding agencies. Cohort members will participate in two pre-travel workshops during the Spring 2019 term to develop and refine a concept paper and learn best practices for connecting with and presenting research to federal sponsor program officers. In September 2019, the group will travel together to Washington, D.C., with OVPRI staff to conduct individual and group meetings with sponsor agencies.

The deadline for receipt of applications for this program is 5:00 PM on Monday, April 22, 2019.

Guidelines and the application details are available online on the Research Development Services website.
