UO's InCommon membership eases Research.gov access

Good morning, DGAs and Researchers:

Please forward this message to researchers and faculty in your areas.

UO's Information Services has some news for members of the UO research community. UO researchers gain federated access to Research.gov and more.

Thanks to something called "federated login," UO users of the Research.gov website can now use their Duck IDs and passwords to log in to that website (after going through some initial setup).

That federated login is due to UO's participation in the InCommon Federation, which also provides access to some other services that may be of interest, such as a file-sharing service for large files (up to 1 TB).

You can learn more about this on the IT website — UO's InCommon membership eases Research.gov access
UO's Information Services has also posted step-by-step instructions for setting up the Research.gov access — Logging in to Research.gov with your Duck ID

The Information Services Technology Service Desk can "field" UO account-related questions (techdesk@uoregon.edu; 541-346-4357). However, please continue to contact your SPS SPA Team or Sponsored Projects Services for specific grant administration questions related to sponsored projects. Visit the SPS website to find Campus Units with SPA Team assignments.

Thank you,
