UROP Recipients Featured in fall issue of CASCADE Magazine
The annual undergraduate research edition of the UO College of Arts and Sciences’ CASCADE magazine featured the research of students that received funding from UROP or participated in a UROP Affiliated Program, including a study of how mini-quakes in the Northwest are affected by the earth’s composition, research on the cognitive development of infants and toddlers, and a study into bias in Linguistics research. Presidential Undergraduate Research Scholars Begin Program Year
The third cohort of the Presidential Undergraduate Research Scholars, a program coordinated in collaboration between the Richmond Science Group and the Undergraduate Research Opportunity Program, began their year of research on September 25. The PURS program provides undergraduate students in the fields of chemistry, physics, earth sciences and mathematics with an opportunity conduct research during the academic year under the guidance of a UO faculty member.
