New program to fund 10 undergraduate researchers

Geraldine Richmond, UO Presidential Chair in Science and professor of chemistry, and the Undergraduate Research Opportunity Program (UROP) in the Office of the Vice President for Research & Innovation, are pleased to announce the creation of a new undergraduate research program at the University of Oregon. The Presidential Undergraduate Research Scholars (PURS) program is an academic year research experience for undergraduate students majoring in chemistry, physics, and the geological sciences. PURS will fund ten UO students to conduct research under the guidance of a faculty mentor during the academic year. View the official announcement letter.
