I’m pleased to announce our 4th annual Research and Innovation Administrative Excellence Awards where we honor employee excellence in research administration. On January 30, 2015 we will celebrate together by having an award presentation and breakfast for all VPRI staff, DGAs, and research directors.
Please send your confidential nomination(s) to me at firstname.lastname@example.org and include a short paragraph about why your employee(s) do an outstanding job and how they contribute to excellence at the UO. The VPRI executive team will review and select the awards.
Nomination Category 1: VPRI Administrative Excellence Award
Awarded to one Research and Innovation employee and one DGA (must be a DGA of record in EPCS to be eligible) who has shown extraordinary service excellence. The eligible nominees should contribute to advancing the goals of the university and exceed the expectations of their managers, peers and other campus constituents. The nominees should routinely exhibit excellent attention to detail, have a positive attitude, and meet deadlines under pressure. They will have the ability to contribute to team goals, with a deep knowledge of their position and campus resources, as well as demonstrate overall excellence in customer service.
Nomination Category 2: VPRI Outstanding Team Award
Awarded to the Research and Innovation team that has shown extraordinary service or substantial improvement to advance the goals of the university. The team’s contributions or progress should exceed the expectations of their managers, peers and other campus constituents. The team will be taking on new goals with enthusiasm and confidence, developing new ways to accomplish complicated tasks, and working collaboratively in the office for Research and Innovation as well as across campus. The team will also have shown considerable improvement, and take pride in delivering excellence in customer service.
I appreciate your participation as we continue this tradition. Please send your nominations on or before Friday, December 19, 2014.
