OVPRI announces submissions initiative

Dear Colleagues:

I am pleased to announce three targeted initiatives intended to encourage proposal submissions to external entities in the 2016 fiscal year.  This is a set of pilot programs that will be reviewed for effectiveness in the summer.  We developed the initiatives in response to suggestions from the faculty and in recognition of the hyper competitive environment of external support for research, scholarship and creative inquiry.  The three initiatives are:

For TTF in the Humanities and Social Sciences in CAS and PPPM who submit a proposal as the PI, we will provide $500 in research support for one submission made through EPCS between December 1, 2015 and June 30, 2016.  If the submission is successful, we will provide an additional $500 in research support to the PI after the award is loaded in the UO system.
For NTTF in the research professor or research associate series of appointments who serve as the PI, we will provide $500 in research support for one submission made through EPCS between December 1, 2015 and June 30, 2016.  If the submission is successful, we will provide an additional $500 in research support to the PI after the award is loaded in the UO system.
For Post-Doctoral Scholars or Fellows who meet the eligibility criteria and who submit proposals as the PI or coPI/coI, we will provide $1000 in research support for up to two proposals submitted between December 1, 2015 and June 30, 2016.
