  • NIH Transformative Research Projects (R01).  This NEW award program, announced in November 2009, is part of the NIH's Roadmap for Medical Research, which is designed to address fundamental knowledge gaps, develop transformative tools and technologies, and/or foster innovative approaches to complex problems.  NIH encourages applications from interdiciplinary teams as well as individual investigators with bold ideas in the areas of biological, behavioral, clinical, physical, chemical, computational, enginerring and mathematical sciences.  This is NOT a limited submission program.  Deadline for letters of intent: December 22, 2009. Deadline for submitting application: January 22, 2010.
