Research Misconduct
ORCR serves as inquiry lead regarding alleged research misconduct and any violation of the regulations, policies and guidelines that govern research misconduct.

Accreditation
ORCR provides leadership for the accreditation of the Human Research Protection Program through the Association for Accreditation of Human Subjects Protection Programs (AAHRPP).

The conduct of research at the University of Oregon is governed by the rules and policies promulgated by several jurisdictions—the Federal and State governments, the Oregon University System, as well as the UO Senate and Administration. The overarching goal of the Office for the Responsible Conduct of Research is to play a leadership role in fostering a culture of research integrity and compliance at the University with a focus on education, training, and technical assistance. The ORCR also serves as the institution's research standards office in matters of conflict of interest, misconduct in research and responsible conduct of research.
