As Director of Innovation Partners at the University of Oregon, Elliot leads the university’s technology transfer and commercialization initiatives, drawing on two decades of experience at the intersection of science, entrepreneurship, and public impact. His background includes launching and scaling multiple medtech companies, securing over $30 million in funding, and developing commercialization infrastructure across academic, clinical, and industry settings. He has negotiated complex IP and licensing agreements, mentored over 300 early-stage ventures, and helped translate university research into startup formation, clinical validation, and industry adoption. He has also led faculty commercialization training programs and served as an instructor for the I-CORPS@Ohio program, helping faculty and researchers align innovations with market needs.

Prior to joining UO, he served as Executive Director of the Innovation Institute at NEOMED, where he expanded faculty commercialization programs, managed innovation funding, and significantly increased technology disclosures and spinouts.
