Faculty from all academic disciplines are invited to apply for an up to $50,000 grant.

The Office of the Vice President for Research and Innovation (OVPRI) is currently soliciting proposals for the UO Foundation Trustee Excellence Grant, a collaboration of the Office of the Vice President for Research and Innovation and the Trustees of the University of Oregon Foundation.

Faculty from all academic disciplines across the university are invited to apply for 2024 UO Foundation Trustee Excellence Grant program. Awards will be made to faculty members who demonstrate a plan to advance high-impact scholarship and research in instances where faculty resources and/or external funding opportunities are limited. Please note that this program does not expect to fund faculty with significant active external or internal research funding.

The program supports research, scholarship, and/or creative activity by providing eligible faculty with up to $50,000 for research expenses—including travel, equipment, supplies, contractual services, shared facility use, and graduate or undergraduate student research assistance. Summer stipends and course releases are allowed as per departmental policies and guidelines (departmental approval required at time of submission). We expect to fund two grants, to be distributed in July 2024.

The deadline for receipt of proposals to this program is 11:59 p.m. Sunday, March 31.

Guidelines and the application form, linked above, are available on the Research Development Services website. Questions should be directed to Research Development Services, rds@uoregon.edu.
