  • The University of Oregon (UO) was awarded $180.2 million in grants, contracts and competitive awards in FY 23, an increase of .3% from the previous year. 
  • No Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (CARES Act) and COVID-19-related projects were received in FY 23.
  • The total comprised 541 awards.
  • Federal award support made up 81% of the total funding awarded in FY 23. 
  • 1,045 proposals were submitted requesting a total of $210.5 million in first-year funding. 
  • Total expenditures in FY 23 totaled $162 million, an increase of 5% from the previous year. 
  • Research expenditures in FY 23 totaled $108.5 million
