Eight UO career research faculty have received awards in the second year of the Career Research Faculty Professional Development Program. They will receive between $2,000 and $4,000 in funds to support travel to professional conferences, advanced training, certification exams, and more.

Distributed by the Office of the Vice President for Research and Innovation (OVPRI), these awards provide career research faculty access to professional development activities that align with their research to support the continued growth in their area of research. Career research faculty of all ranks who have .75 FTE are eligible for this program, and research assistants in particular are encouraged to apply to this rolling deadline program.

“OVPRI is committed to investing in the research enterprise by supporting the individual growth of our career researchers at the university” said Geri Richmond, interim vice president for research and innovation. “As such, I am pleased to announce that this program will continue to accept applications on a rolling basis during the rest of the academic year until program funds are expended.”

The distributed funds will support career researchers representing the fields of biology, education, human physiology, applied languages, psychology, and neuroscience.
