All proposals for external funding must be reviewed and approved by our Sponsored Projects Services (SPS) unit using the Electronic Proposal Clearance System (EPCS), including those to be submitted to Grants.gov or other government portal.
The EPCS record is an internal UO electronic system (not connected with Grants.gov) which must be completed and finalized by the UO PI at least three business days prior to the external deadline. Please contact your Pre-Award Sponsored Projects Administrator with questions or concerns about the required EPCS record.
The EPCS record should be created as early on as possible (recommended: at least 2 to 4 weeks prior to the external deadline).
Electronic Proposal Portals
Many sponsors are utilizing online portal systems for submissions. Many of these system require Sponsored Projects submission. For questions, contact your Pre-Award Sponsored Projects Administrator.
If its your first time submitting to NIH, NSF, or Grants.gov, you will need to create an ID and profile for yourself connected to the University of Oregon (or link one if you have submitted grants at another institution).
