Foreign Financial Reporting Department Guidance

Under Section 117 of the Higher Education Act and the CHIPS and Science Act, the University of Oregon must report to the federal government information about incoming gifts and contracts from foreign sources.

Departments are responsible for reporting contracts with and gifts from a foreign source to the Export Control Office. The Export Control Office collects data about potentially reportable transactions from units across campus, aggregates the data to determine if reporting thresholds have been met, and completes required reporting as needed.

The learning videos below are designed for campus administrators and campus leadership, such as deans, department heads, and directors, to help them understand their role in ensuring compliance with federally required foreign financial reporting.
