We treat technology transfer as a fundamental extension of the University of Oregon's teaching and public benefit missions, and we employ a diversity of innovation management pathways to connect University research to societal benefit. Rather than viewing the generation of a large intellectual property portfolio as an end in itself, we make targeted use of intellectual property rights to advance the uptake of UO innovations.
