Fulbright Logo with blue circle and name of agency

The Fulbright US Scholar program offers US academics, administrators, and professionals diverse opportunities to teach, conduct research, do professional projects, and attend seminars abroad. Their mission is to foster mutual understanding between nations, advance knowledge across communities, and improve lives around the world.

This PowerPoint presentation provides an overview of the program, which is accompanied by a video presentation directed at potential applicants from Oregon institutions.

To find opportunities appropriate for you, consult the Fulbright Awards Database. To find previous program participants from UO or in your field, consult the Fulbright Scholar Directory.

Proposal Templates & Checklists

The checklist, templates, and instructions are based on the Fulbright guidance for each component of an application.

Checklist: Use the proposal preparation checklist to keep track of timing and what parties at UO are responsible for various pieces of an application.

Templates: Use the templates to begin writing each proposal element. The templates are designed with the blue font as instructions that you will erase for your narrative. Black font headers should remain, as they are defined explicitly by the guidelines. Also refer to the additional instructions regarding submission.

Instructions: These instructions are provided in document form making them easy to share with others as necessary, particularly the instructions for writing letters.
